SBS Shares its Mission with genU Bringing Better Change in Lives

We got a chance to shake hands with genU for a fun event organized to promote inclusivity, diversity, and community engagement.
GenU is a dynamic organization on a mission to help people across Australia to achieve their full potential. Founded in 1952, genU has grown into a nationwide force with over 3600 staff and volunteers. They focus on providing disability support, seniors services, and training and employment opportunities. As a 'profit for purpose' organization, they reinvest back into initiatives to build and promote more inclusive communities.
Simply Better Services is pleased to sponsor the genU Big Night Out 2023 in Geelong, celebrated on Friday, October 27, 2023. The event significantly reflected our values and commitment to social responsibility.
“The Greatest Show on Earth”
The theme for the event was unique in its own way: ‘The Greatest Show on Earth’ marked its 20th anniversary. The Big Night Out gathered a diversified community of clients, participants, staff, and supporters under the roof of The Pier, Cunningham Pier, Geelong.
With up to 600 attendees annually, the event creates an environment where people with disabilities come together with corporate community members, supporting their welfare and betterment and their individual role in the progress of the community.
The active participation of attendees and their costumes on this year’s theme, ‘The Greatest Show on Earth,’ added an extra layer of excitement to the celebration. The two-course meal, music, dancing, and other recreational activities made the night unforgettable among other nights for all the beautiful faces that graced the event.
Our Commitment to Social Responsibility
For SBS, supporting the genU Big Night Out is more than sponsorship; it’s a reflection of our commitment to social responsibility. Since opening our doors in Australia in 2010, we’ve been providing facility management and maintenance solutions to a diverse clientele, including body corporates, insurance companies, offices, schools, universities, and homes.
This Big Night Out was a significant success in creating a delightful experience for an inclusive community of amazing people.
